Utricularia Macrorhiza

Utricularia Macrorhiza, or the common bladderwort, is an aquatic carnivorous plant! This free floating plant catches its prey in as little as 0.002 seconds using its bladders equipped with a hair trigger mechanism. They do well in tannin rich waters, and produce yellow flowers from June to August. It's an ideal plant for controlling mosquito populations in bog pools.

The Utricularia Macrorhiza we ship may come with some duckweed.
